| NewsETC-PZL sings contract with L-3 Communication Link Simulation &Training
2005-03-31On 1st October 2004 American company L-3 Communications Link Simulation and Training and ETC-PZL Aerospace Industries signed a contract connected with the delivery of Simulators and Egress Procedure Trainers for the Polish Air Force. It is a part of Lockheed Martin’s offset program connected with the purchase of F-16 C/D Fighter Jets by Poland. Under this contract the Polish company will be responsible for assembling three cockpits, three instructor operator stations, developing a visual and sensor database and delivery of two Egress Procedure Trainers for the training of ejection procedures. Moreover, ETC-PZL Aerospace Industries shall install the Simulators and Egress Procedure Trainers, conduct control tests and train the personnel of the Polish Air Force. ETC-PZL shall provide maintenance support for the Simulators and Egress Procedure Trainers delivered by L-3 Communication Link Simulation and Training throughout their whole exploitation period. One of the cockpits is designed for a complex flight simulator with a 360º field of vision, the two other for simulators with a simplified visualization system for use on squadron level. The Egress Procedure Trainers for the training of ejection procedures were designed and manufactured solely by the specialists from ETC-PZL Aerospace Industries. For a number of years they have been successfully used in pilot training processes in Poland and abroad. Under the signed contract they will be adapted for the requirements of F-16 C/D. The Simulators and Egress Procedure Trainers manufactured under this contract will be delivered to the units of the Polish Air Force in 2006/2207. |
