Full Mission Simulator for the Su-22M4 strike attack aircraft is
used in the training process of the Polish Air
Force pilots.
It enables, amongst the others, carrying out
the following activities:
- Aircraft cockpit familiarisation,
- Flight training,
- Visual flight conditions training and instrument meteorological
conditions flight training,
- Radio-navigational flight training,
- Strike attack missions against the ground targets in
the active anti-aircraft conditions, using full spectrum of
guided and unguided weapons carried by Su-22M4,
- Attacking air targets using guided weapons and on-board cannons,
- Training in the use of self defence systems (radar lock warning
systems, thermal flares and radar decoys launching)
- Emergency in-flight procedure training,
- Emergency ejection procedures training.
General description of the simulator
Su-22M4 aircraft simulator is a full mission type of simulator, equipped
with 6 DoF motion system. It is fitted with a
faithful replica of the aircraft’s cockpit, electrical
flight controls loading system and three-channel wide angle projection
system for the out-of-the-cockpit view.
The simulator entered service in April 1999 and is being intensively
used to this day.
