Full Flight Simulator for the TS-11 "Iskra" jet training aircraft is
used in the training process of the air cadets of
the Polish Air force Academy.
Its main tasks are:
- Familiarisation with the aircraft cockpit,
- Flight training,
- Visual flight conditions training and instrument meteorological
conditions flight training,
- Radio-navigational flight training,
- Emergency in-flight procedure training,
- Emergency ejection procedures training,
- On-board weapons training.
General description of the simulator
TS-11 "Iskra" aircraft simulator is a fixed base devise. It
is fitted with a faithful replica of the aircraft’s front
cockpit, hydraulic flight controls loading system and a projection system for
the out-of-the-window view, using three collimating modules. The
software system of this simulator, after recent upgrade, is
based entirely on several PC type computers.
The simulator begun its service life in January 1994 and
is being intensively used, to this day, having undergone the
extensive upgrade in 2004.
